Unnecessary...(Homunculi of Faction Lust perhaps?) « Thread Started on Feb 23, 2006, 7:57pm »
Violet eyes flickered open and a wave of dark hair washed over the slender shoulders of a pale woman as she sat up. No. She hadn't been sleeping for such an act was quite unnecessary, but she had been thinking... and remembering.
Hazy visions, nothing more but there was something about them that made her uneasy. Smiles, laughter, light, fresh linens... love. Her dark lips parted slightly as a sigh weasled its way between them and her eyes closed peacefully for a moment.
Then, in a flutter of satin, the dark woman stood up. Her heels clicked on the floor as she moved around the plum hued chaise lounge that she had been reclining in. The near-raven haired beauty took a deep breath and tossed a section of hair over her shoulder.
Sloth, her real self, her true nature. Who, in her mind, always pondered why she was forced to use the alias' of others. Juliet Douglas whilst she was in the Military (which she didn't see the necessity of anyway). And the loving mother, Trisha Elric, when she closed her eyes and remembered. She haunted her own thoughts.
She just wanted... to be herself. Which was why she stood where she did, why she was on Lust's side, why she held the desperate, though unattainable quest to feel the blood of her 'sons' between her aquidious fingers. "I feel... bored." Her velvety voice drifted through the silence effortlessly, though she wasn't being very eloquent.

"Bored? Boredom doesn't become you, Sloth; you hardly do anything as it is..." came the soft, soothing voice of another. No, it was not meant to insult, but a mere fact that was established by the other's name. High black boots clicked on the stone floor as Lust approached her companion, a slight spring to her night, wavy tresses that hung well past her waist. She smiled, barely a ghost of one, as she flowed up to the other Sin. It was good to see an ally.
Lust swept effortlessly to the plush chair, gracefully taking a seat on the cushioned arm, crossing her legs in an elegant manner. "You were thinking of something? Care to share what?" Perhaps that was what made them allies as they were: the rememberance of past lives. Yes, Lust was well aware of what she had been, and her relation to Scar, but it wasn't something she liked to remind herself of. A constant, harsh pain, a brutal reminder that she was far beyond being a human being, which the two of them now desired so much.... She wasn't like Greed, or Envy, lusting after immortality... She wanted to be like everyone else. An Ishvaran woman, just as she had once been. Though, as of now, it seemed to be too much to ask for.

"You know all too well, Lust." The dark lips let the words slip past them as Sloth's violet eyes met a pair remarkably like her own but remained, in their own way, different. Lust, too, was plagued with visions of her past, visions she wished to be rid of. Sloth couldn't say if her needs were greater then her companion's. For who was she to place herself above anyone else with her same goal.
The Philosopher's Stone... the blood red gem that was going to make it all work. The crimson crystal that was going to rid her of her distressing dreams. She yearned for it so.
"For it crosses your mind frequently as well." Sloth added as she glided across the room, it looked as if she wasn't walking at all.

Sloth would have said something back to Lust but Hope appeared and began speaking to Lust. Then realizing that their conversation was surely over or at least at a complete standstill, Sloth turned her fair cheek and looked around the room. Hope needn’t worry if the feeling was mutual, Sloth didn’t care enough to form an opinion on her.
"I did what you asked Lust. I hired the kid to assassinate Alina."
"Hmm?" A spark lit in Sloth's otherwise dead eyes, a spark known as curiosity. But she soon let it die, it wasn't her business, at least not yet. She brushed it off and turned away, returning to her thoughts again. If she really felt the need, she'd ask Lust later. Of course that is, if she really needed to know. Things like this happened every so often but Sloth normally just let them slide. What did she care if it didn’t concern her? But in this particular instance, Sloth knew she would eventually ask Lust about it. After all, it involved killing Alina Blackhawk.

"It does..." the Sin replied, nodding her graceful head, "I know it well..." she shook her head, "But I hate to have to sit and remember what I once was, seeing what I've become... What he made me to be. You must feel the same as I do toward the Elric brothers, since they were your maker... Like the brother of the one called Scar..." she let out a breathy sigh, violet gaze falling to the floor as her arms were folded across her rather large chest, "As soon as we get that stone... As soon as I become a real woman... I'll be able to live as I wished to all along. I won't have to continue with the horrible memories of that life that I can never have again... Never have again..." her voice drifted until it was a mere whisper.
Finally, Elaine broke her from her soft words. A smile graced her features, "Good. Now you won't have that little alchemist girl to bother you any more."
